    Abstract
The IEEE 802.11n wireless local-area network (WLAN) has become popular as the Internet-access network due to flexibility, affordability, and expandability. To reduce interferences between access-points (APs) in dense WLAN, the transmission powers of the APs should be optimized to enhance the total performance. In previous studies, we proposed a transmission power optimization method for concurrently communicating two APs nearby located, where each AP is associated with only one host. This method selects either the maximum or minimum power of each AP that gives the largest signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the receiving signal strength (RSS). In this paper, we extend this method for a general case where each AP is associated with multiple hosts. For evaluations, we conduct extensive experiments in 12 topologies using Raspberry Pi for APs. The results confirm that the proposal always selects the best power.
